Washington County sheriff’s deputies arrested a Pittsburgh man in the courthouse Friday after they say they found him with a plastic bag of marijuana inside the building.

Shawn Taylor was in the courthouse’s Information Technology Office about 9 a.m. asking the staff where he could find the Clerk of Courts office, deputies said.

He returned an hour later asking the same question, although deputies said he then became agitated and confronted the staff. The staff summoned deputies to the area because they thought he would get physical with them.

Deputies stopped him at one of the metal detectors as he was trying to leave and said they found a bag of marijuana in his pocket.

Taylor, 41, of 817 Chartiers Ave., was charged with possession of a controlled substance, marijuana possession and disorderly conduct.
