PennDOT announced work schedule

WAYNESBURG – Greene County Maintenance Manager Jerome Simkovic announced the following tentative work plan for this week.
All maintenance activities are conducted on a weather-permitting basis.
Motorists should drive with caution throughout all work areas and be alert for signed work zones requiring the usage of headlights.
The schedule is as follows:
• Pipe repair on Route 3011, Hargus Creek Road (Center Township).
• Shoulder cutting and grading operations are scheduled on Route 18, Golden Oaks Road, from Route 3007, Delphene Road to Township 469 Road, Grinnage Run (Jackson Township).
• Bridge replacement operations will begin on Route 18, Golden Oaks Road (Freeport Township), near the community of New Freeport.
Traffic is restricted to one lane and controlled by traffic signal (new traffic pattern).
• Community Work Program will be conducting litter pick-up on Route 3010, Deep Valley Road (Springhill Township) from New Freeport to the West Virginia state line (Marshall County).
• Patch and paving operations will be conducted on Route 21 East Roy E. Furman Highway between Loves Hill (Franklin Township) and Gwynn Road (Jefferson Township); Route 21 West Roy E. Furman Highway from West Virginia state line to Route 4017, Scott Run Road (Center Township); Route 2001, Rudolph Run Road (Perry Township) to Route 2018, Kirby Road to the village of Gump (Whitely Township); Route 2003, Buckeye Road (Perry Township) near the village of Mount Morris; Route 2013, Jensen Hollow Road (Jefferson Township) and Route 4003, Veterans Road (Richhill Township).
• Berm mowing operations will continue on numerous secondary state routes throughout the county.
Please use extra caution traveling in these areas.
• Bridge repair/rehabilitation will be conducted on Route 1021 Crucible Road (Cumberland Township).
• Guardrail installation will begin on Route 3009, Toms Run Road (closed) in Pine Bank (Gilmore Township) and Route 3020, Bristoria Road (closed), (Jackson Township).
• Signs will be updated, downed signs will be replaced, and complaints will be addressed on various state routes throughout Greene County.
PENNDOT has a 24-hour toll free number for residents to call to report any road maintenance concerns.
This number can also be used to report locations of dead deer on state highways.
