Aleppo Brethren Church will hold a free community dinner from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Friday. The menu will include chicken with gravy, mashed potatoes, green beans, biscuits and brownies. Takeouts are available. For more information, call 724-428-5249.

Prime Time fellowship and a covered-dish dinner will be held at 6 p.m. Friday in the fellowship hall of the First Nazarene Church. Prime Time Ministry is geared for those 55 years or older. Those attending are asked to bring enough food to serve eight to 12 people. Free Spirit, a singing group from Uniontown, will perform.

A lawn festival will be held at 5 p.m. Saturday at the Valley Chapel United Methodist Church, Brock. Food will include creamed chicken, hot dogs, ham barbecue, hot sausage sandwiches, homemade noodles, potato salad, baked beans, pies, cakes and beverages.

Jefferson Church of the Nazarene, 168 Washington St., Jefferson, will hold a yard and bake sale from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Aug. 3 in the church parking lot. Hot dogs and beverages will be available. In case of rain, the event will be held inside. Proceeds will benefit victims of the May 20 tornado that struck Moore, Okla.

The Barclay Family Reunion will be held Saturday at Washington Township Park near Ruff Creek. Lunch will start at 1 p.m. Attendees are asked to bring a favorite dish or dessert to share. Plates, napkins, cups and plasticware will be provided.
