Trespass, theft charges: Tina Sue Loughman, 40, of Canonsburg, was charged Monday by Canonsburg police with criminal trespass, criminal mischief and theft after she allegedly entered a house at 10 Payne Place that she previously rented and removed a lawn mower, two air-conditioning units, a fan and a swimming pool. She also reportedly damaged a wooden railing. Loughman was arraigned on the charges before District Judge David Mark and released.

Gun stolen: Cody Rhoades of 219 S. Central Ave. told Canonsburg police Tuesday that a Smith & Wesson handgun was stolen from his vehicle. Video surveillance from his home shows three boys approaching his vehicle. One reached in and removed the weapon. One of them is seen firing the gun. A casing was found on the sidewalk, police said.

Charged at checkpoint: Matthew S. Kotsch, 25, of 525 Allison Ave., Washington, was charged by state police with possession of marijuana and paraphernalia, driving under the influence of alcohol, not having a license and driving under suspension after he was stopped during a sobriety checkpoint Saturday on Route 844, Canton. Charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge David Mark.

Trespass charge: Patricia A. Haberman, 62, of Pittsburgh, was charged by state police at The Meadows Racetrack & Casino with criminal trespass. Haberman was found on the casino floor early Saturday and was aware she was not permitted to be there, police said. The charge will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Jay Weller.

DUI arrest: Peter J. Lubawski will be charged with DUI following a one-vehicle accident at 3:20 a.m. Wednesday on Froebe Road, township police said. Lubawski, 20, of Cherry St., Bethel Park, was found in his sport utility vehicle when police arrived. Lubawski was heading toward Sugar Camp Road when he failed to negotiate a right turn, crossed the center line and traveled across the opposite lane before striking a tree, police said. A bag containing a small amount of suspected marijuana was found in the vehicle, police said. Lubawski was taken to Canonsburg Hospital for blood testing and was later released. Charges will be filed by summons, police said.

Supplies stolen: Crane cable, 55-gallon drums of hydraulic fluid, anti-freeze and two toolboxes were stolen from a work truck owned by Golden Triangle Construction of Imperial. The items were reported stolen Monday from a construction site at 430 Donley Road, Somerset.

Theft charges: William Phillips IV, 29, who is homeless, was arrested Tuesday by South Strabane police on charges of retail theft and theft by deception. He is accused of stealing several items from Walmart, Trinity Point, on several occasions in May and July and then returning some of the items in exchange for gift cards. He was arraigned before District Judge Gary Havelka and placed in Washington County jail on $2,500 bond.

Theft reported: Chris Mussill of 23 Limestone Drive, Union, told Southwest Regional police Tuesday that an aluminum extension ladder was stolen from her yard. Anyone with information on the theft is asked to call police at 724-929-8484.

Damage at plant: State police said that a window was broken and fire extinguisher stolen July 17 from the West Bethlehem wastewater treatment plant.

Drug charge: Courtney Lee Monack, 21, of Brownsville is being charged by the Washington County sheriff’s office with drug possession and possession of drug paraphernalia, court records show. She is accused of possessing stamp bags of heroin inside the side entrance to Washington County Courthouse about 4 p.m. June 17, according to the affidavit filed Wednesday. Burglary report: Justin Vankirk of 690 Addison Ave. told city police that he returned to his residence at 10 p.m. Friday and found the fence demolished and front door kicked open. Missing from his home were $600 and tools valued at $2,400, police said.

Burglary attempt: Mass Machine & Fabricating, 595 Meadow Alley, reported about 9:20 a.m. Tuesday that two doors had been damaged overnight at the company.
