DOYLESTOWN – Authorities said a pilot was flown to a hospital after a small plane hit power lines and crashed in suburban Philadelphia.

Emergency officials in Bucks County said the accident happened about 11:45 a.m. Saturday in Doylestown Township near Route 313 and the Route 611 bypass.

The Federal Aviation Administration said preliminary information indicated the plane hit power lines and then went down.

The FAA is investigating.

Officials said the pilot, believed to be the only person aboard, was flown to Temple University Hospital, where a condition report was not immediately available.

No injuries on the ground were reported.

The make and model of the plane was not immediately available.
