MURRYSVILLE (AP) – A former PTO president and library aide has been charged with stealing more than $12,000 from western Pennsylvania school organizations.

Court papers show that 41-year-old Elizabeth Kindelberger of Delmont is faces multiple charges for the alleged thefts from the PTO and the football club at Heritage Elementary School in Murrysville. That’s about 20 miles east of Pittsburgh.

Kindelberger is on leave from the Franklin Regional School District, where she worked part-time as a library aide.

Murrysville Police Chief Tom Seefeld says two other PTO members alerted them to the problems.

A message left at a number listed under Kindelberger’s name was not immediately returned, and no attorney was listed on court papers.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for June 18.
