Liberty Tunnel work planned

Demolition work on the south portal arch of the Liberty Tunnel in Pittsburgh will continue this Friday, weather permitting.

The Liberty Tunnel will be closed this weekend. The outbound lanes will be closed at 10 p.m. Friday through 6 a.m. Monday. If there is a Pittsburgh Penguins game Sunday, the outbound tunnel will reopen at the end of the game for approximately two hours.

The inbound side will be closed from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m., Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights.
