Family Promise of Southwestern Pennsylvania will hold a Fundraising Day at all three area Max and Erma’s restaurants Monday.

On that day, a portion of patrons’ lunches and dinners will be donated to Family Promise. Locations are at 373 Washington Road in Washington in The Foundry, 1910 Cochran Road in the South Hills and 4093 Washington Road in McMurray beside Kmart Plaza. When ordering, just mention you wish to donate to Family Promise. Gift certificate sales are not included.

Family Promise of Southwestern Pennsylvania, formerly Interfaith Hospitality Network, connects homeless children and their families with a network of local congregations and the Family Promise staff, all focused on providing them with shelter, meals, hospitality and support until they are able to return to sustainable independent lives in their own homes.

Since opening in Washington in 1994, and with the addition five years ago of the Pittsburgh program, Family Promise of Southwestern Pennsylvania has served more than 400 local families, more than 550 adults and 800 children.

For more information, or to become involved with Family Promise, call Laura Karl Vincenti, executive cirector, at 724-229-1129.
