WAYNESBURG – A 19-year-old Waynesburg man arrested Feb. 29, 2012 at West Greene High School for possessing a small amount of synthetic marijuana pleaded guilty Monday to a lesser charge.

A charge against Brenton Shane Sink, of 128 Pershing Ave., for possession of a small amount of marijuana was amended by prosecutors to disorderly conduct. Sink pleaded guilty to the charge before Greene County Judge Farley Toothman and was fined $300.

A teacher at the school had found a small packet containing the drug on the floor where Sink had been sitting, according to police. Sink admitted he had purchased the drug and forgot it was in his coat pocket. He said it must have fallen out of the pocket onto the floor.
