GROVE CITY (AP) – Authorities were working to confirm the identities of two bodies found after a house fire in western Pennsylvania.

The (Sharon) Herald reports Tuesday that the names of residents and their dental records have been forwarded for forensic pathologists who are trying to identify two people found dead in the fire early Monday in Grove City.

The bodies of a man and woman were found in the home after the fire was reported about 3:15 a.m. One body was found on the first floor of the two-story wood frame house, while another was found in the basement. Authorities were still working Tuesday to determine the cause of the fire.

Grove City police and the Mercer County coroner tell the Associated Press the identities of the victims are still pending.
