County employees receive cost of living adjustments

WAYNESBURG – Greene County Salary Board Thursday approved 2.2 percent cost of living increases for management employees and hourly rate adjustments for all full-time, part-time and casual employees, effective July 1.
The number of employees affected by the salary adjustments was 141, reflecting a total budget line item in excess of $4.5 million. The increases approved represent $59,497, minus $26,000 in cost allocated to reimbursables, for a net addition to the general fund of $33,497.73.
The salary board also approved increasing the entry rates for new hires by 3 percent.
In human services, the board promoted Heather Yeager and Sara Bates to county caseworkers 1 at a rate of $19.40 an hour, and accepted the resignation of Kayla Martin as county caseworker 1.
In the sheriff’s department, the board approved the promotion of Lucas Cubic from part-time deputy 1 to full-time deputy 1 at $13.92 an hour.
In other business, the board:
• Hired Cressida Leskosky as a regular part-time department clerk 1 in the register and recorder’s office at a rate of $11.59 an hour.
• Acknowledged the retirement of Michael Simms as director of the county’s domestic relations office and approved the promotion of Amie Miller to administrative assistant in the election’s office at a rate of $13.53 an hour
