The state Department of Transportation will conduct an open house and plans display to inform the public of a proposed Route 88 and Route 837 intersection improvement project from 5 to 6 p.m. Tuesday at the Ringgold High School cafeteria.

The project in Carroll Township involves the improvement of traffic flow at the intersection, making it safer for motorists while reducing congestion. The project will consider improvement alternatives, including the addition of left turn lanes and a roundabout.

Representatives from PennDOT and project team members will be on hand to describe project status, the required environmental clearance process, present preliminary environmental findings, preliminary improvement alternatives, review an anticipated project schedule, and gather public input. A presentation will be given at 5 p.m.
