Cumberland Township supervisors will hold a public hearing Monday to receive comments on the possible uses for the township’s 2013 Community Development Block Grant money.

The hearing will be held immediately following the supervisors’ regular meeting at 4 p.m. in the township municipal building. The township’s allocation of CDBG money this year is $99,579.

CDBG money must be spent on activities to benefit low- and moderate-income residents. Portions of the money can used to address blight or emergency conditions.

Eligible activities are those listed in the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974 and included improvements to public facilities, infrastructure, housing, recreational facilities, streets and roads, historic preservation and planning activities.

The public is invited to comment on the proposed application at the hearing.

Special accommodation will be made for people with disabilities who wish to attend the hearing by calling 724-966-5805. The township building is accessible to people with disabilities.
