Flenniken Library offers free computer classes

CARMICHAELS – Have you ever wanted to use a computer but don’t know where to begin? Or maybe you want to learn a new program for work? Then call the Flenniken Public Library and sign up for a free computer class.

The library now offers hands-on computer training. Since space is limited, you must pre-register by calling 724-966-5263, or stopping by the library.

The computer classes offered from 1 to 2 p.m. Thursdays throughout March are:

•Using a Mouse, March 7 – Learn how to manipulate a mouse and some of the keyboard keys. It should be taken before any other class, unless the participant has prior computer experience.

•Microsoft Vista, March 14 – Learn how to use the basics of Microsoft Vista.

•Beginning Internet, March 21 – Learn how to get online and find the information you need.

•Microsoft Word 2007, March 28 – Learn how to use Word to write letters and reports.

Library hours are 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
