CLARKS SUMMIT (AP) — A coroner says a northeastern Pennsylvania man has been killed in an accident while using a piece of heavy machinery to unload hay.

The Times-Tribune of Scranton reports 62-year-old Ransom Township resident Carl Noakes was using a bucket loader to unload hay Sunday morning.

Lackawanna County Coroner Tim Rowland says the bucket fell for unknown reasons and pinned Noakes against the machine. State police are investigating the accident.

An autopsy is being scheduled.
