PITTSBURGH – A Pittsburgh-area man has pleaded guilty to threatening a paralyzed police officer.

Court records show that 44-year-old Irwin Glaze pleaded guilty Tuesday to charges of terroristic threats, harassment, simple assault and disorderly conduct.

Authorities say that in August 2012 Glaze threatened former Clairton police officer James Kuzak, who uses a wheelchair after being shot during a home-invasion robbery.

Investigators say Glaze threatened to knock Kuzak, who formerly worked as a police officer in Cecil and Peters townships, out of his wheelchair following the acquittal of two men on attempted homicide charges in connection with an April 2011 home invasion. One of the men was convicted of burglary and other charges in that case.

Sentencing is scheduled for June 5.
