Crews rescue three from icy river in Philly

PHILADELPHIA (AP) — Three people had to be rescued from an icy river in Philadelphia, but they’re expected to be OK.

WPVI-TV reports a men fell into the Schuylkill River and his two friends had jumped in to try to save him early Wednesday morning in Philadelphia’s Roxborough section.

Dive teams were called and pulled all three from the river. They were taken to a hospital to be treated for hypothermia, but they’re expected to recover.
