Cornerstone Genealogical Society will meet at 7 p.m. today in the log courthouse on Greene Street, Waynesburg. Retired Judge H. Terry Grimes will speak on Gen. Edward Martin, a member of Company K who served as governor of Pennsylvania. The genealogical society is observing the 70th anniversary of Martin’s term as governor. Martin is buried in Green Mount Cemetery in Waynesburg. The public is invited to attend the meeting.
The 20th Century Club will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday at the First Chrisian Church, Waynesburg. The meeting will be hosted by MaChal Forbes and Michelle Pulkownik. Tickets for the annual spring luncheon will be available. All members are urged to attend.
The Mount Morris Water and Sewage Authority will conduct a leak detection test on its water distribution system from 1 to 3 a.m. Friday. Customers may experience a drop or loss in water pressure during this time period.
The Salvation Army will hold a flea market Wednesday through Friday at its center at 131 W. First St., Waynesburg. Proceeds will be used to send Greene County children to Camp Allegheny this summer.
