A South Strabane Township woman was arrested by township police late Tuesday, accused of shooting her husband several times during a domestic dispute at their home.

Latasha Stapp, 26, of 3008 Clubhouse Circle, is charged with attempted homicide, reckless endangerment, aggravated assault and discharge of a firearm in an occupied structure for allegedly shooting her husband, Tyler Stapp, in the presence of their two children.

Emergency crews responded to reports of shots fired in the Stonecreek housing complex in South Strabane Township Tuesday night.

Police initially responded to calls of a man suffering two gunshot wounds in the suburban residential plan about 9 p.m. Officers from East Washington, South Strabane, North Strabane and Chartiers townships and state police were on the scene along with the South Strabane Fire Department and Washington Ambulance & Chair Service.

Two medical helicopters landed in a field adjacent to the housing complex. Police had two homes roped off on the Clubhouse Circle street of the plan, and officers were seen escorting a small girl into the back of one of the vehicles.

Stapp’s condition was not known at press time.

His wife was arraigned before District Judge Jay Weller and placed in Washington County Jail on $250,000 bond. A preliminary hearing is set for March 25 before Weller.
