An East Bethlehem Township woman was arrested Wednesday by township police in connection with an incident at her home last week.
Police were called about 8 p.m. March 8 to the home of Jessica R. Masciarelli, 28, of 420 Second St., Vestaburg, for a report of a woman throwing items into her neighbor’s yard. The neighbor showed police the only items she could find in the dark, a pipe that appeared to have come from a gas main and a metal water main cap.
Police went to Masciarelli’s home but could not locate her. They then found her walking down the street away from her home. Police told her to stop, but she ignored the commands and continued walking, police said.
Masciarelli reportedly started yelling at police and lunged at one of the officers who was still in his cruiser. Police said that when they tried to take her into custody, she struggled with the officers and swung her arms at them.
Police said they had been called several times to the duplex at 418-420 Second for reports of loud music.
Masciarelli was arraigned before District Judge Joshua Kanalis on charges of aggravated assault, terroristic threats, resisting arrest, disorderly conduct and harassment. She was placed in the Washington County jail on $5,000 bond.
