Canton Township Supervisors

Date: March 14

Action: Supervisors asked the township engineer to prepare bid specifications for repairs to the township recreation building on Jefferson Avenue.

The board approved an advertisement looking for applications for a part-time code enforcement officer.

Supervisors adopted a resolution that the township is willing to provide matching funds to Washington City Transit as the township’s contribution to the Metro and Hopper bus systems.

Discussion: The supervisors discussed allocations for the township-wide housing allocation project, as well as for demolishing four buildings using community block grant money.

Announcement: The township Easter egg hunt will be March 23 at Trinity North Elementary School. Sign-ups begin at 11 a.m.

Next meeting: 6:30 p.m. April 11 at the municipal building,
