A Bentleyville man already wanted by Southwest Regional police on charges involving deceptive business practices is now facing more charges.

Police are looking for help in locating Timothy Rossell, 24, whose last known address was 721 Main St.

In the latest case, Levi Mattey of Charleroi told police that on Dec. 1, he agreed to purchase a vehicle from a man identifying himself as Timothy Michael Keller for $640 plus $150 for fuel.

Keller identified himself to Mattey as a Missouri state trooper relocating to Pennsylvania. Mattey told Southwest police he paid for the vehicle but never received it and was not able to contact Keller.

Police said they were able to determine that Keller was actually Rossell.

Rossell previously was charged with similar incidents. He reportedly identified himself as a state constable when he purchased a vehicle from a Glassport man. Rossell allegedly took the vehicle but never made payment. In another case, Rossell allegedly identified himself as Timothy Brandhorst when he bought a truck from a Bentleyville couple. He took the truck but never made payments, police said.

Southwest police filed new charges Wednesday against Rossell at the office of District Judge Curtis Thompson including forgery, theft by deception, deceptive business practices, identity theft and impersonating a public servant.

Anyone who believes they might have been victimized by Rossell in the department’s jurisdiction or has information on his whereabouts is asked to call police at 724-929-8484.
