A Fayette County man, previously convicted of multiple burglaries, faces new charges in Greene County for a Dec. 22 burglary in Morgan Township.
Jamie Lee Shriver Jr., 25, of Labelle, is charged with burglary, criminal trespass, theft by unlawful taking and criminal mischief related to the theft of jewelry and money valued at $23,275 from the residence of Tracy Ozohonish, 345 Pollocks Mill Road.
Police said Shriver’s alleged accomplice in the burglary, Brian Blosser, 21, of 100 Mark Drive, Smithfield, told them he had committed seven or eight burglaries in Greene and Fayette counties with Shriver. Police said Blosser named Wayne Bair Jr., 43, of 142 Grandview Ave., Point Marion, as the person who drove he and Shriver to the Ozohonish residence on Dec. 22.
According to an affidavit, Bair acknowledged driving Blosser and Shriver there on the date of the burglary. Police said Bair told them Blosser and Shriver came out of the house carrying a pillowcase full of jewelry, coins, and some silver, along with a jewelry box. Bair said he went with Blosser to pawn the jewelry.
This is not Shriver’s first burglary arrest in Greene County. In December 2009, he pleaded guilty to his involvement in six burglaries between Aug. 13 through Aug. 30 in Cumberland and Dunkard townships. He was sentenced to 15 months to 5 years.
In March 2010, Shriver pleaded guilty to a burglary in Greensboro and received a sentence of 15 months to 10 years.
Later that year, Shriver pleaded guilty in Fayette County to receiving stolen property and conspiracy to receive stolen property for which he received a sentence of 6 to 12 months.
It was his second arrest in Fayette County. In 2007, Shriver pleaded guilty there to charges of receiving stolen property, arson, and criminal mischief. He received a 4-to-8-month sentence.
Shriver is currently incarcerated at SCI-Fayette awaiting extradition to Greene County for a preliminary hearing at 9 a.m. March 26 before Greene County District Judge Glenn Bates. He is being held on $50,000 straight cash bond.
