Pipes, wire cut: Thomas Kotyk of 333 Pleasant Valley Road, Buffalo, told state police Thursday that the basement door of his home was forced open. Pipes and wires were cut, and a breaker was stolen. Anyone with information is asked to call state police at 724-223-5200.

False reports charge: Dennis R. Malone, 52, of 110 E. Pittsburgh St., Burgettstown, was charged by McDonald police with false reports and making a fictitious report. He allegedly told borough police that a man was intoxicated and selling drugs at a bar in Burgettstown March 17. Malone reportedly called 911 to make the report after the bartender told him that he was no longer welcome at the bar. The charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Gary Havelka.

Home invasion: The residents of 383 Weirich Ave., Canton, told state police that two men entered their home about 11:50 p.m. Saturday and demanded cash. One of the men threatened the two people with a handgun before the pair fled, police said. There was no further information on the description of the suspects or whether they got any money. No one was injured. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 724-223-5200.

Drug arrest: Ashley M. Bussard, 24, of 702 Peer St., Smithton, is charged by township police with drug possession over accusations she had a small amount of heroin in her underwear while being examined about 10 p.m. Feb. 4 at Mon Valley Hospital, court records show. Bussard is in the Washington County jail on $5,000 following her arraignment Monday before District Judge Mark Wilson.

Paraphernalia charge: Jacob Roessler, 22, of 8679 Noblestown Road, McDonald, was charged Monday by McDonald police with possession of drug paraphernalia stemming from a Feb. 16 traffic stop on West Lincoln Avenue. The charge will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Valarie Costanzo.

Burglary, theft charges: Daysha Gullick, 25, of 93 Roberts Road, Eighty Four, was charged Monday by North Franklin police with burglary, criminal trespass, theft and receiving stolen property. She is accused of entering the home of her father and stepmother, Kenneth and Deanna Gullick of 225 Roosevelt St., March 13 and stealing a computer tablet, video player, gold chains and checks. She sold some of the items at a Canonsburg pawn shop, police said. Gullick was placed in the Washington County jail on a bench warrant Monday. She will be arraigned on the charges later.

GPS stolen: Chris Stockdale of 63 Altamont Ave. told North Franklin police Thursday that his TomTom global-positioning system was stolen from his vehicle.

Ring stolen: A platinum topaz ring was reported stolen Sunday from Antique Junction, 2475 Washington Road, North Strabane police said.

Library vandalism: Vulgarities were written on a wall in the teen room of Peters Township Public Library, 616 E. McMurray Road, between 6 p.m. March 18 and 2 p.m. Friday, township police said. The words were written in black permanent marker. Two words were scratched below the vulgar works, police said. The incident was reported at 11:20 a.m Sunday.

Attempted quick change: A few hours before the incident was reported at 8:40 p.m. Saturday, an employee of Food Tracks, 3351 Washington Road, reported a man purchased two low-cost items and paid with a large bill, police said. The man said he did not receive the proper change and gave a fictitious name and telephone number to the employee, police said. A similar incident occurred at 9:30 a.m. Sunday at the Subway in Waterdam Plaza, police said. In both cases, the employees asked the man to remain until police were called to watch the employee count the cash drawer. In both cases, the man left. He was described as white, with a thin build and brown hair, police said.

Burglary reported: About $500 in cash was stolen from a residence on Froebe Road. The resident discovered the cash missing March 18 but did not notify police until 4 p.m. Friday, township police said. The cash was in the kitchen and a bedroom. Other valuables in the house were not stolen, police said. The investigation continues.

Woman jailed: Stacey Whiteman, 45, of 545 Alamae Lakes Road, was charged with drug violations, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct after state police were called to her home Monday by her mother. Police said Whiteman had purchased illegal narcotics and pain pills on the Internet. An envelope containing 90 Clonazepam and 10 Vicodin pills showed a return address from South Africa. Whiteman told police she had purchased pills on the Internet and resold them before. As Trooper Aaron Borello went arrest her, she resisted and he called Trooper Frank Lewis for assistance. The two dragged her to the patrol car because she fell on the floor. She was transported to the state police barracks. There, police found an additional 112 Alprazolan pills on her. She used vulgar and inappropriate language to four officers. She was arraigned before District Judge Ethan Ward and lodged in the Washington County jail on $25,000 bond.

Prohibited weapon: Melissa L. Bebout, 34, of 186 Jollick Manor, is charged with having a prohibited offensive weapon in her vehicle. Police stopped the vehicle Bebout was operating Friday for having a brake light out. She gave permission to have her car searched after police recognized her passenger, Demetrius Ellis, for whom they had an active warrant. While searching the car, police said they found a stun gun. Charges were filed Monday with District Judge Robert Redlinger.

Neighbor dispute: Sharon Isbell, 58, was cited for disorderly conduct after police were called to 97 W. Walnut St. Sunday afternoon for a dispute between neighbors. Police said Isbell was yelling obscenities and attempting to spit on her neighbor when they arrived. She was told to place her hands on a fence after she moved toward officers in an aggressive manner, but she allegedly refused. She was placed under arrest and cited.

Windows broken: Wendy Ankrom of 436 Country Club Road reported two windows on her vehicle were broken while it was parked in the 700 block of Ewing Street Sunday night.

Clerk threatened: Police are attempting to ascertain the identity of a woman who threatened a clerk at the Circle K on 701 W. Chestnut St. Sunday night. The woman was short 10 cents when she attempted to purchase a pack of cigarettes. The woman used profanity, and even though a man in line offered her money to purchase the cigarettes, she still threatened the clerk.

Fight at bar: A fight at the VIP Lounge, 19 N. Main St., Sunday morning involved several people, two of whom were knocked unconscious. Officers on patrol were flagged down outside the lounge and called other units to assist. According to their report, when police arrived they found Tyton Brunner, 27, of Ellsworth, unconscious on the floor. Kraig E. Walker, 27, of Kittanining, also was lying on the floor but had regained consciousness, police said. Both men had been struck in the head. Martise R. Scott, 25, of Harrisburg and Nicole L. Peltz, 24, of Kittanning had been struck in the face, while Trisha M. Scott, 25, of Mechanicsburg, had been pushed. The manager told police he attempted to diffuse a tense atmosphere, but at some point someone bumped into someone else and a fight erupted, with beer bottles being thrown and people being kicked. Police did not indicate if anyone was treated for injuries or if there were any charges filed.
