Washington police are looking for a West End man accused of pointing a gun at several people Tuesday night on Ewing Street.
Ronald A. Paith, 32, of 466 Ewing St., is accused of brandishing a weapon and making threats.
City police were told about 9:35 p.m. that Paith was at 450 Ewing, pointing the gun at people and threatening them. Police learned Paith had gone to the home of Zack King looking for Jessica Powell, who was identified as Paith’s girlfriend. Powell reportedly had gone to King’s home to get a cellphone. She told police Paith had been argumentative with her and demanded she immediately return home.
Paith reportedly struck Powell in the face after she told him that she did not want to go, police said. Paith reportedly left and returned with a revolver. King told police he saw Paith as he entered his home. Paith allegedly pointed the gun at King, Powell and Monica Mikels. King wrestled with Paith, trying to get the gun away from him, and Paith was yelling threats at all involved, police said.
The alleged victims told police Paith was able to keep the gun and fled. City police set up a perimeter around King’s house when they arrived.
Police said Paith would not answer his cellphone. Officers went to his home but did not find him there. Powell told police Paith had a second gun in the house, but they were unable to locate it.
Anyone with information on Paith’s whereabouts is asked to call police.
