A Carnegie woman faces charges including aggravated assault after she allegedly struck a Canton Township woman with her car late Tuesday.

Erica Marie Williams, 27, is accused of deliberately striking 18-year-old Jolene Anderson with a Kia sedan in the 900 block of Addison Street about 11:40 p.m., Washington police said.

Police received a report of a disturbance in the area. While officers were en route, they learned that a woman had been hit by a car and was at 925 Addison.

When police arrived, they found Anderson sitting in the kitchen. She had injuries to her cheek, eyebrow and forehead. Anderson told police several times “she hit me with her car” and that Williams had done it purposely.

Police were initially told Anderson was hit by a black sport utility vehicle and then a red Toyota Corolla. Anderson told police the vehicle was a maroon Kia.

Emily and Cindy Sherman told police they had been with Williams, who dropped them off at their home. Cedric Sutton and Anderson were meeting Emily Sherman at her home. Anderson had gotten out of Sutton’s vehicle as Williams pulled away.

Williams reportedly turned around at Addison and Hart Avenue and started yelling out the window at Anderson. The two had a previous dispute and Anderson had been trying to avoid Williams, Police were told she had been unsuccessful in getting a protection-from-abuse order against the Carnegie woman.

Anderson reportedly yelled back at Williams, who accelerated her vehicle and struck Anderson, throwing her over the front of the car and onto the road.

Williams drove west on Addison. She then turned around and came back. She stopped by Sutton’s vehicle, got out and reportedly broke the front and side passenger windows.

Anderson was taken to Washington Hospital for treatment.

Police also learned from state police that Williams allegedly sent text messages to Anderson’s mother indicating she planned to kill the other woman.

Anyone with information on Williams’ whereabouts is asked to call police at 724-223-4226.
