East Franklin Grange 1709 will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday in the grange hall. Lecturer Lonnie Brewster will present sign designs. Building improvements will be discussed. All grangers are urged to attend.

Jefferson Baptist Church, 179 Pine St, Jefferson, is offering monthly support group meetings for friends and relatives of those who suffer from substance abuse of any kind. The next meeting will be held at 7 p.m. May 14 in the church basement. The meetings are held on the second Tuesday of every month at the same time. At this meeting, people can talk to others who are struggling with how to deal with their loves ones who are addicted to alcohol or drugs.
