DUQUESNE, Pa. (AP) — Allegheny County homicide investigators said a local hip-hop performer was one of two men fatally shot by at least one gunman in a crime-ridden Pittsburgh suburb.

Witnesses tell police 29-year-old Lawrence Short, of Clairton, and 18-year-old Tyrone Coleman, of Duquesne, were sitting on concrete steps near a residential street in Duquesne when both were shot about 6 p.m. Monday. At least one person was seen running from the shooting.

Police could not immediately say if both men were intended as targets.

Short is known to be a member of the hip-hop group Hardcore Entertainment.

Some children playing in the area were not hurt.
