Numerous people recently appeared in Washington County Court on criminal charges.
Appearing before Judge Edward Borkowski were:
Dominick A. Francia, 18, of 118 Ruth Place, Belle Vernon; possession of a small amount of marijuana; charged while a passenger in the car pulled over for a traffic stop Jan. 5 on Pennsylvania Avenue at Wood Street, California; sentence – 30 days of probation.
Mark W. Shriver, 19, of 3242 Country Hollow Road, Irondale, Ohio; defiant trespass, disorderly conduct; charged Feb. 18 for entering the residence at 15 Tope St., Burgettstown; sentence – 12 months of probation.
Paul M. Howes, 30, of 25 College Ave., Millsboro; possession of drug paraphernalia, driving with a suspended license; charged Nov. 3 following a traffic stop on Main Street, toward Bridge Street in West Brownsville; sentence – 12 months of probation.
James Morris III, 24, of 1015 Deerfield Road, South Franklin Township; possession of drug paraphernalia; charged Jan. 11, 2012, following a traffic stop at Route 19 and Racetrack Road; sentence – 6 months of probation.
Lawrence W. Champagne, no age, of 51 Champagne Road, Eighty Four; second offense of driving under the influence; charged July 21 after crashing into a police car in the parking lot of 84 Lakes and Lounge, with a blood-alcohol content of 0.195 percent; sentence – 6 to 23 months on home monitoring with work release with the first 3 months on SCRAM, $1,500 fine, 18-month license suspension.
Richard C. Crothers, 44, of 126 Wylie Ave., Strabane; second offense of DUI; charged Sept. 16 following a one-vehicle accident on Interstate 79 in North Strabane Township, with a BAC of 0.196 percent; sentence – 6 to 23 months of home monitoring with work release with the first 3 months on SCRAM, $1,500, 18-month license suspension.
Gregg L. May, 58, of 212 Brookwood Road, Venetia; second offense of DUI; charged June 3 following an accident at State Route 88 and Stone Bridge Drive, Union Township, with a BAC of 0.20 percent; sentence – 6 to 23 months of home monitoring with work release with the first 3 months on SCRAM, $1,500 fine, 18-month license suspension.
