GIBSONIA (AP) – Authorities are crediting an off-duty Pittsburgh police officer with reviving a toddler who was found face-down in a shallow pond at a suburban miniature golf course.

Authorities have yet to release the name of the boy, whose age was reported as 2, 3, or 4, who was found unresponsive at the Wildwood Highlands Family Fun Center in Hampton Township, a few miles north of the city.

The boy was pulled from the water about 9 p.m. Thursday and taken to Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC after the officer performed CPR on him.

The boy’s condition was not immediately available.

Police were investigating how he fell into the water at the complex, where employees have declined comment.

The officer’s name also has not been released.
