State police seize 200 pounds of marijuana in Allenport

Four people from the state of California were arrested in Allenport on Thursday and accused of possessing and transporting 255 pounds of marijuana in the area.

State police said they arrested James Massery, 52, of La Mesa, Glen Meyers, 55, of Redding, Aimee Burgess, 34, of Shasta Lake City, and John Kash, 50, of Redding, after finding 200 pounds of marijuana and $27,000 in cash inside a van at an excavating business in Allenport.

Police said they later found another 55 pounds of marijuana and $130,000 in cash after executing search warrants in North Versailles and Monroeville.
