26 UPMC workers paid more than $1M

PITTSBURGH (AP) – The University of Pittsburgh Medical Center paid 26 employees more than $1 million in total compensation last year.
Tax returns for the fiscal 2012 year show that CEO Jeffrey Romoff was the highest paid at $6.07 million, followed by executive vice president Elizabeth Concordia at $2.5 million and neurosurgeon Ghassan Bejjani at $2.48 million. The totals include salary, bonuses, retirement and other compensation.
Romoff received $5.98 million in fiscal 2011.
Other UPMC executives in the group were chief information officer Daniel Drawbaugh at $2.24 million, chief of human resources Greg Peaslee at $2.12 million, and thoracic surgeon James Luketich at $2.02 million.
UPMC is a nonprofit health system based in Pittsburgh with more than 55,000 employees.
