Numerous people appeared recently in Washington County Court on criminal charges. Appearing before Judge Katherine Emery were:
Jeremy J. Dyczewski, 27, of 27 E. Prospect Ave., Pittsburgh; criminal mischief, defiant trespass; charged Jan. 28 at 202 Locust St., Muse, after hiding in a basement and violating a protection-from-abuse order; sentence – 12 to 23 months probation.
Walter Hough, 20, of 232 Waddell Ave., Donora; theft, disorderly conduct; charged Jan. 13 after neglecting to return a cellphone to the owner; sentence – 6 months of probation, 50 hours community service.
Charlene Kyle, 30, of 800 Washington Ave., Charleroi; harassment, public intoxication; charged Sept. 28 after fighting on the sidewalk at 700 Fallowfield Ave., Charleroi; sentence – $600 fine.
Jerrid D. Powell, 33, of 59 Overlook Boulevard, Van Voorhis; simple assault, theft; charged Jan. 24 for hitting his girlfriend at 1009 Boulder Ave., California, charged Jan. 25 for stealing $37 worth of quarters from 1009 Boulder Ave., California; sentence – 6 to 18 months in jail, no contact with victim, 12 months of probation.
Karena V. Bell, 22, of 630 First St., Donora; possession of a controlled substance; charged Nov. 6 after police found 1.7 grams of hydrocodone in her purse; placed in the Probation Without Verdict program for 12 months.
Darrell O. Burkett, 38, of 117 Whistler St., Holsopple; second offense of DUI; charged April 3, 2012, when police responded to a disabled vehicle on Interstate 70, with a BAC of 0.292 percent; sentence – 90 days to 12 months in jail, $1,500 fine, 18-month license suspension.
