Assault arrest: Kenneth David Frye, 21, of 74 Murray Ave., Washington, was arraigned Thursday on charges of simple assault and harassment filed by state police for allegedly striking Bridgette Harris in the face during a confrontation April 21 at Belvedere Acres, Canton. He was arraigned before District Judge Ethan Ward and placed in the Washington County jail on $5,000 bond.
House, garage burglarized: Karen Minor of 910 Maple Ave. told South Strabane police Wednesday her home and garage were burglarized. Among the items stolen were an autographed Pittsburgh Steelers football, computer, weed trimmer, leaf blower, pressure washer and global positioning unit.
Mail stolen: Kevin Blum of Stewart Avenue told Washington police Wednesday mail was stolen from his mailbox.
Door open: James Riggs of Fayette Street told Washington police Wednesday the basement door was forced open at a home he owns on Fayette. It was not known if anything was stolen.
Identity stolen: Laverne J. Davis III of East Maiden Street told Washington police Wednesday his Social Security number was used to open utility and cellphone accounts in his name.
Stands stolen: Ralph Troiano of North Franklin Township told Washington police Wednesday three stands for scaffolding were stolen from 365 N. Main St.
Access device fraud: Marilyn Lee Gundy, 61, of Washington, told state police $190 worth of unapproved purchases were made in Massachusetts with her credit card.
