Man injured in fight: Evan Walp, 29, of 438 Blaine Ave., Canonsburg, is facing charges of furnishing alcohol to minors, corruption of minors, possession of drug paraphernalia and possibly simple assault in connection with a fight at his residence that caused serious injury to a Houston man during a party at Walp’s residence about 10 p.m. Thursday, borough police said. Adam Kosek, 20, of 122 Holly Drive, Houston, was flown to a Pittsburgh hospital with a head injury incurred in a fall during a struggle with Walp and others to get him to leave the residence, police said. Police later found Kosek passed out in his vehicle parked at 416 Blaine Ave. Walp was placed in the Washington County jail on a parole violation on a conviction of driving under the influence of alcohol.

Vehicle entered: William Wasner, 38, of 325 Black Alley, Canonsburg, told borough police about 11:38 a.m. Thursday that coins and inspection stickers were stolen from his parked, unlocked vehicle.

One-vehicle accident: Matthew Scott Clarkson was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol following an accident at 12:54 a.m. Friday, township police said. Clarkson, 24, of Roosevelt Avenue, McDonald, was traveling north in the 1300 block of Route 980 when his pickup truck crossed the center line, struck and pushed a guardrail into a tree, which stopped his car from going over a hill, police said. When police arrived, Clarkson was sitting on the tailgate and told officers he was drunk. He refused medical treatment. His blood-alcohol content was found to be 0.252 percent. The state presumes intoxication at 0.08 percent. Clarkson was released and will be charged by summons.

DUI arrest: Three traffic lights were affected early Thursday when a driver, later charged with DUI, traveled through an intersection in Southpointe and crashed into an above-ground utility box and tree, township police said. Michael James Amos, 21, of Washington, will be charged by summons and was released following the accident at 3:45 a.m. Police said the damaged utility box cut power to traffic signals along Southpointe Boulevard at Technology and Corporate drives and Interstate 79. Temporary stop signs were erected until repairs could be completed. Police determined Amos’ BAC was 0.178 percent.

Firearms stolen: William Crow told state police firearms were stolen from his gun cabinet at his residence along Route 136 between May 5 and 21, police said.

Two assaulted: A Washington man faces numerous charges after South Strabane police said he attacked two people during a drunken melee inside the Eat’n Park lobby early Friday. Deshawn Barfield, 19, of 865 Addison St., faces charges of simple assault, disorderly conduct, public drunkenness and criminal mischief after police said he punched a woman in the face, grabbed her hair and punched another man at least 15 times. He also allegedly punched a glass window in the lobby before police arrived about 2:20 a.m. Barfield is being held on $25,000 bond.

House burglarized: A home in the 900 block of Maple Avenue in South Strabane was burglarized early Wednesday morning and numerous items worth more than $2,000 were stolen, township police said. Police said a leaf blower, trimmer, computer, CDs, GPS system and various other items were stolen.

Tailgates stolen: Two truck tailgates worth a combined $4,000 were stolen from Washington Ford this week, South Strabane police said. Workers noticed the tailgates were missing about noon Thursday.

Man wanted on warrants: James A. Sadler, 44, of Sheffield, Ohio, was charged with giving false information to law enforcement after Southwest Regional police said he gave them another man’s name during a traffic stop in Union Township shortly after 10 p.m. Thursday. Police said Sadler was wanted for warrants in Ohio.

Shots fired in city: Two men were arrested early Friday morning after witnesses said they heard gunshots near Ernie’s Freestyle Bar on North Main Street in Washington, and city police pulled over a car leaving the area moments later. Police said they found Zaie Escribano, 32, and Keith Rosario, 22, both of 200 Bernstein Road, Canonsburg, with a handgun in the car and charged each with illegal possession of a firearm. Police later found a car with a bullet hole, and added criminal mischief charges. Both were taken to the Washington County jail on $50,000 bond.

Items stolen: Scaffolding worth $1,150 was discovered missing from a storage lot at 365 N. Main St., Washington police said. The following day, a snow blower and two windows worth a combined $1,650 were discovered missing from the lot.

Theft report: Consol Energy of Southpointe told state police electrical supplies valued at more than $100,000 were stolen from its site at 332 Enon Church Road between May 10 and 12.
