The preliminary hearing for a Donora couple accused in the heroin overdose death of a Donora man earlier this month was continued Thursday after it was determined that one of the suspects had been moved to the Westmoreland County jail.
James Darnell Foster, 21, and Maya Lawson, 30, both of 233 Allen Ave., were scheduled for hearings before District Judge Mark Wilson on drug-related charges. They are accused of selling 24 stamp bags of suspected heroin to 55-year-old Barry Daube. He was found dead a short time later.
Foster was transferred out of the Washington County jail without knowledge of the court. Wilson reduced Lawson’s bond from $100,000 to $50,000.
