A man and woman were arrested on drug charges in Donora Friday morning.
Albert Austin, 57, was charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Carrie Yevcinez, 41, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.
Donora police said they received a tip at 11 a.m. Friday that Yevcinez, who had an outstanding warrant, and Austin were in possession of heroin and were en route to Donora in a blue Chevrolet Silverado truck.
Police blocked in the truck after it parked in an alley behind 216 10th St.
Yevcinez went inside the home while Austin remained in the truck, where an officer observed him put something in his mouth.
Police took Austin from the truck and found packaged heroin in his pants pocket and 11 stamp baggies of heroin in his mouth.
Police also found hypodermic needles, a metal spoon with residue and cotton swabs inside the truck.
Police said Yevcinez was found inside the house, where hypodermic needles and a couple of empty stamp baggies of heroin were found on her and inside her purse.
Austin and Yevcinez were taken to the Donora Police Station, where they were arraigned before District Judge Curtis Thompson. Both were taken to the Washington County jail, Austin on $20,000 bond and Yevcinez on $5,000 bond.
