Wreck closes Park Avenue

A crash Thursday night in the 1600 block of Park Avenue (Route 18) in North Franklin Township closed the road for almost 12 hours.
North Franklin police said Charles R. Andre, 63, of 1870-B Park was driving south about 7:40 p.m. when he apparently fell asleep at the wheel of his vehicle. The vehicle went off the road and crashed into a utility pole that partially came across the road. The road was closed until utility crews could reset the pole. The road reopened to traffic about 7 a.m. Friday, police said.
Power was also knocked out in the area. Police said Andre was not injured in the crash.
