J-M students honored by Lions Club
CLARKSVILLE – Three Jefferson-Morgan High School seniors – Kraig Davis, Olivia Wagner and Jeff Jento – were honored by the Clarksville Area Lions Club as students of the month for September, October and November, respectively.
Davis, son of Cindy and Richard Davis of Rices Landing, maintains a 4.150 grade-point average.
He is president of the National Honor Society, Leo club and Spanish club; vice president of student council, and is a member of the Academic Team and chorus. He also is drum major for the marching band.
He received the Frederick Douglass and Susan B. Anthony award from Rochester University.
Outside of school, he volunteers in soup kitchens, the food bank and bell ringing for the Salvation Army.
Davis plans to attend Kenyon College to pursue a degree in modern languages.
Wagner, daughter of Karole and Dan Wagner of Rices Landing, maintains a 3.6 grade-point average.
She is a member of the marching band and color guard, Big Brothers, Big Sisters; Leo club, debate team and art club.
She has received two-year academic letter and a four-year band letter.
Outside of school, she volunteers as a bell ringer for the Salvation Army.
Wagner plans to study fashion merchandising at Mercyhurst University.
Jento, son of Jeff Jento of Rices Landing and Cindy Jento of Clarksville, maintains a 3.65 grade-point average.
He is a member of the art club, drama club, Academic Team, debate team, youth traffic safety council, Big Brothers, Big Sisters; yearbook staff and envirothon.
He also participates in football and wrestling and has been awarded letters in each sport.
Jento plans to join the U.S. Army following graduation.
