A Florida man was arrested early Sunday by North Strabane Township police after he allegedly threatened to assault two men at a Racetrack Road convenience store and then threatened police.

Township police were called about 2:30 a.m. to the Marathon, 461 Racetrack, for a report of a man threatening two customers. One of the men told police the suspect tried to start a fight with him, and when his friend intervened, he was threatened.

The suspect then allegedly kicked their vehicle, damaging the hood and bumper, before fleeing east on Racetrack. Police were given a description of the vehicle with Florida plates and spotted it on Route 19, weaving and straddling the two northbound lanes. The driver, later identified as Michael Kevin Flynn, 22, of Ocala, turned right onto Conklin Road and then into a driveway.

Police said Flynn got out of his vehicle and started yelling obscenities at Sgt. Keith Hutter, questioning why he was being stopped.

Flynn was taken to the police station, where he refused to submit to a blood-alcohol test. While at the station, he reportedly kicked the walls of the holding cell. Flynn also allegedly threatened police.

Flynn was arraigned before District Judge Ethan Ward on charges of driving under the influence of alcohol, terroristic threats, criminal mischief, harassment, failure to stay in his lane, driving under suspension and disorderly conduct. He was placed in Washington County jail on $10,000 bond.
