Session for health care options planned

Washington County Bar Association and the Washington branch of the American Association of University Women will co-host a free program on health insurance options for those eligible for Medicare.

The program will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 16, at Citizens Library, 55 College St., Washington, and will outline the implications of the Affordable Care Act on those eligible for Medicare. The program also will address how Part D prescription coverage is affected, and will compare and contrast Medicare and Medicare Advantage plans.

The program will be presented by Kristen Srvcek and Steve Hoffman of CSC Health Insurance Options in Belle Vernon.

The open enrollment period for Medicare ends December 7.
