Members of the Washington County Salary Board have granted retroactive raises to a dozen employees.
Charles Nichols, county human resources director, said Thursday’s board action resulted from a review of salaries and duties.
He described several of the employees as “front-level supervisors” whose salaries were increased after union workers, under the terms of a new four-year contract, also received raises.
The employees, titles, previous salary and new salaries are:
Mary Lynn Spilak, director of services for aged, $60,423; $66,000.

It will be eliminated when another employee returns to full-time work.
Washington County Chief Information Officer Donald Cortese, who is seeking applicants for vacant slots, received permission from the board to pay the person hired to be the network and systems administrator as much as $55,000, up from the previous $48,854.

Deputy Controller Joshua Hatfield Thursday participated as a voting member in place of Controller Michael Namie.
