• Action: At the request of the planning commission, the commissioners approved a supplemental reimbursement agreement with the state Department of Transportation for the Weirich Avenue bridge over Chartiers Creek to increase the approved costs to $1,602,827 to be borne by state taxpayers.
At the request of the administration at the health center, the board approved a change with Southwestern Pennsylvania Area Agency on Aging to increase the reimbursement rate for adult day care services to $58.39 for a full day and $20.20 for a half day.
At the request of Children and Youth Services, the board approved the purchase of breakfast and lunch for approximately 500 people attending a seminar on handling traumatized victims. No county funds are required for the estimated $22,500 cost of the meals.
At the request of the same department, they approved a contract with Carol Popielarczyk to provide fiscal services from Nov. 12 through Jan. 27 at a rate of $18.40 per hour, with workload not to exceed 20 hours per week.
At the request of the jail administration, the board approved the renewal of an agreement with Lexis Nexis for inmates’ legal research through Nov. 30, 2016. There has been no increase in the cost for the standalone system that does not include books or compact discs.
