Driver charged: A Charleroi woman has been charged with driving at an unsafe speed following a one-vehicle crash that injured her and her passenger Thursday. State police in Washington reported that Danielle A. Megela, 24, and Cecelia L. Cage, 20, of Claysville, were heading south on Route 221 (Buffalo Creek Road) at 7:21 p.m. when Megela lost control of the vehicle on a curve as they approached the intersection with North Alley Road. It went off the road, struck a sign, a tree stump and a chain-link fence before returning to the roadway, according to the report. Police said both individuals sustained moderate injuries and were transported by Washington Ambulance and Chair to UPMC-Presbyterian hospital in Pittsburgh.
