West Greene Lions Club honors two students
ROGERSVILLE – West Greene Area Lions Club has named two students, Karley Isiminger and Tabatha Schiller, as its outstanding students of the month.
Isiminger, daughter of Randy and Tammy Isiminger of Holbrook, is president of the senior class, president of the Student Government Association and a member of National Honor Society.
She is captain of the varsity cheerleading squad and captain of the color guard for the high school’s marching band. She sings the National Anthem at winter sporting events, is a “Pioneer Player” in several school plays and was voted the 2013 Miss Merry Christmas.
She also has received academic scholar, scholar athlete, citizenship and science awards, as well as the Consol Energy Community Service Award.
Outside of school, she is a member of the First Assembly of God Church and its youth group. She competes on a choir and drama team where she advanced to a national level.
Isiminger plans to attend a university and major in education with a concentration in language arts.
Schiller, daughter of Suzette Schiller, Aleppo, is a member of the art club, Spanish club, science club, vice president of the international club and the National Honor Society.
She also is a member of the volleyball and softball teams and a member of the yearbook staff. She has received a participation award and academic excellence for four consecutive years.
Schiller plans to attend college and work toward a degree in mass communications.
