Civic Club names students of month
CARMICHAELS – Three Carmichaels Area High School seniors – Kaylee Boosel, Hannah Cutwright and Michelle Frye – have been named Girls of the Month for September, October and November, respectively, by Carmichaels Area Women’s Civic Club.
Boosel, daughter of Ron and Jodi Boosel of Carmichaels, is a member of the National Honor Society, student council, Spanish club, SADD and varsity club. She also is a member of the varsity volleyball and softball teams.
She has received various academic awards and attended the Westinghouse Science Honors Institute. She is a member of the school’s Relay for Life team and plays Powder Puff football.
Boosel is a Red Cross certified lifeguard and water safety instructor, umpires girls softball games and participates in martial arts programs.
She plans to attend a four-year college majoring in physical therapy.
Cutwright, daughter of Dave and Terri Cutwright of Carmichaels, is a member of the National Honor Society, art club, senior standing committee, book club and the school’s volleyball team.
Outside school, she enjoys reading, drawing and writing.
Cutwright plans to attend Waynesburg University and major in art administration.
Frye, daughter of Susan and Victor Frye of Carmichaels, is a member of the National Honor Society, marching and concert bands, chorus, art club and the Academic League.
Outside of school, she is involved in acting, the theater and voice lessons.
She plans to attend either Robert Morris University or Waynesburg University and obtain a degree in advertising.
