Fire damaged a pistol range building at the Claysville Sportsmen Club in Donegal Township Saturday, a Washington County emergency dispatcher said.

Crews were dispatched to the fire at the newly built shooting range building on Hicks Road about 5:45 p.m. and were able to quickly control the blaze, the dispatcher said.

No one was injured in the fire and the extent of the damage to the building was not immediately known, the dispatcher said.

Firefighters from departments in Claysville, West Alexander and Taylorstown responded to the call. The cause of the blaze is under investigation.
