ROCHESTER (AP) – The mother and boyfriend of a 13-month-old Western Pennsylvania boy are jailed on charges they fractured his skull, legs and wrist during weeks of abuse, while the boy’s father and another woman are jailed on charges they knew about the abuse but didn’t stop it.

Online court records don’t list attorneys for the boy’s mother, 21-year-old Amanda Riley and her boyfriend, 27-year-old Nicholas Hrvoich, who are actually accused of injuring the boy before he was hospitalized Sept. 20. The boyfriend’s mother, 54-year-old Kimberly Hrvoich and the toddler’s birth father, 20-year-old Christian Evans, are charged with endangering the boy by not reporting the abuse.

The defendants all remained in the Beaver County Jail on Tuesday unable to post bond. They face a preliminary hearing Oct. 7.

The boy’s injuries were reported by his maternal grandmother.
