The Chartiers Creek Watershed Association will hold its fall wetlands walk from 2 to 4 p.m. Oct. 12. It will again will be led by Dr. Jason Kilgore, professor of biology at Washington & Jefferson College.

Children are welcome to join the walk also, which makes for a wonderful family experience.

Kilgore, who is thoroughly familiar with the North Franklin wetlands, has led the walk for several years. Kilgore’s doctorate is in plant physiology and ecology.

Those interested will meet at 2 p.m. in the parking lot next to the North Franklin Township Fire Company, 565 Sylvan Drive, off Franklin Farms Road.
