Pablo Mora, Ambassadors for Christ International’s Director of Paraguay, will present a program for the public at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Oak View United Methodist Church, 160 Rolling Meadows Road.

Mora, an accomplished musician and gifted minister, will entertain with harp and vocal selections. He will also discuss some of his myriad of experiences working to build the Methodist Church presence in his native Paraguay. He has been instrumental in planting 42 churches and three schools there, and he served as Bishop of the Methodist Church of Paraguay for 10 years.

Now, he has joined AFCI to develop ministries to all denominations in Paraguay. Through much of the past, with the drug cartels and an unknowing native population, those experiences have been varied and challenging to the point of life threatening.

Mora also has been active with Samaritan’s Purse and Operation Christmas Child. In that capacity, he has been present when some of the shoe boxes like those so successfully gathered in Greene County are given to needy children in a land of dire poverty and great need.

His ministry will be an excellent kick-off since Oak View Church will again serve as a primary collection point for this year’s Operation Christmas Child.
